CWEP Director of Water Services Appointed to Missouri Safe Drinking Water Commission

Carthage, Mo., February 6, 2026 – Carthage Water & Electric Plant (CWEP) is proud to announce that Jason Choate, Director of Water Services, has been appointed by Governor Mike Kehoe to serve on the Missouri Safe Drinking Water Commission.

The Safe Drinking Water Commission plays a vital role in advising and supporting policies that protect public health and ensure the delivery of safe, reliable drinking water across the state of Missouri. Mr. Choate’s appointment recognizes his extensive experience, leadership, and commitment to excellence in the water industry.

Mr. Choate currently serves as Director of Water Services at Carthage Water & Electric Plant, where he oversees the operation, maintenance, and long-term planning of CWEP’s water system. He previously worked as a plant superintendent for Leggett and Platt, Branch One, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Missouri Southern State University.
