Meter Responsibility
Most of the equipment that provides electricity to your home or business is owned by CWEP. However, you, the customer, are responsible for equipment once it reaches your home or business.
This graphic below depicts equipment owned by CWEP and our customers. If an event causes damage to any equipment owned by CWEP, we are responsible for repairs. If an event causes damage to any customer-owned equipment, the customer is responsible for repairs.
If customer-owned piece of equipment is broken or damaged, you will need to hire a licensed electrician to perform the necessary repairs.
